I've spent the last eight years working at wineries in hospitality and wine education here in Napa County. I am very fortunate to have met some wonderful, talented local Napa musicians with whom I get to play music in local bands. I'm divorced from Napa Patch editor Louisa Hufstader, but we still work together.

I love to cook and eat (and drink wine, of course) with friends, and I love the fact that we have easy access to great local produce all year long. Try to buy a head of lettuce in February in Massachusetts, where I used to live, and you'll understand what I mean! Napa has a great small-town feel, and now I can buy that head of lettuce at any supermarket -- or at the Napa farmers market, from the person who grew it.
